Helping your child turn good intentions into real change
Knowing what to do is very different from actually doing it. In the final Hack, your child is learning how to turn everything they've learnt throughout Mastering Your Mind into real, lasting change. They're exploring what they genuinely want to work on, how ready and confident they feel, and what's getting in the way. They're learning to focus on one change at a time, create realistic SMART goals, be patient when progress isn't immediate, learn from setbacks and keep going rather than expecting to become a completely different person overnight.
What if YOU want the change more than your child does?
If your child wants to improve five things at once, help them choose one. Ask: “If you could make just one small change over the next month, which would make the biggest difference?” Then make it concrete. Not “I'll be more organised”, but “Every school night, I'll pack my bag before bed.” Trying to change everything can mean changing nothing; one realistic success creates confidence and momentum.
